In 2024, the revenues of Russian streaming platforms reached a historic high.
March 4. /MEDIA TALK/. Revenues from paid subscriptions and advertising increased by 44% over the year, amounting to 121.3 billion rubles.

Such information is contained in the TelecomDaily report. The main factor of the increase is related to the rise in price of subscriptions on leading platforms. An analysis of the prices of ten services revealed that subscriptions increased by four, including Kion and Premier. The number of subscribers of streaming platforms increased by 29%, reaching 58 million.

In 2024, the industry's flagships retained their positions. The leadership is occupied by the Kinopoisk platform, owned by Yandex, which occupies 33.4% of the market. Ivi is in second place (16.9%), followed by Wink, a project implemented jointly with Rostelecom (16.2%). They are followed by Okko and the Kion platform from MTS.

Over the past year, the revenues of digital film platforms from the provision of content licenses increased by 22.4% and amounted to 15.4 billion rubles. In the first place in this area is Kinopoisk, which occupies 33.1% of the market.

Earlier it became known that the largest Russian online platforms, such as Okko and Kinopoisk, resumed negotiations with Hollywood film companies on the return of their content and access to new releases.
