The St. Petersburg Commodity Exchange has received a new name
February 28th. /MEDIA TALK/. At the shareholders' meeting, it was decided to change the name of SPIMEX to JSC St. Petersburg Stock Exchange.

As noted in the release on the organization's website, the full official designation, as well as the foreign name of SPIMEX, will remain unchanged. The new trade name should emphasize the connection with the first domestic trading platform created by Peter the Great in 1703.

The St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange is the largest trading center of the Russian Federation, carrying out transactions in oil, gas, metals, wood and agricultural products. More than a quarter of all petroleum products on the domestic market are represented on the St. Petersburg site, which strengthens its role as the main participant in setting clear cost indicators. The Unified State Register of Legal Entities will be updated in March, and the presentation of the updated symbol is scheduled for the IX Commodity Exchange Market Forum, which will be held on March 27, 2025.

Earlier it became known that a National stock Exchange Pricing Agency will be established in Russia on the basis of the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange.
