Tuberculosis deaths decreased by 7% in the Moscow region in a year
January 29th. /MEDIA TALK/. Large-scale work is underway in the Moscow region to detect and treat tuberculosis. In 2024, mortality from the disease decreased by 7.1% and amounted to 1.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants of the region.

The region is carrying out comprehensive work in this area. One of the measures is to increase the availability of diagnostics and prevention. It helps to achieve good results.

The leading medical institution that provides care to patients with tuberculosis is the Moscow Regional Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary. The organization has 12 branches and 28 dispensary departments and specialized offices in hospitals. Round-the-clock care is provided by 6 hospitals, which can accommodate up to 900 patients.

The work of the doctors of the Moscow Regional Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary has allowed it to become a Competence Center for healthcare institutions in the region. Medical organizations here are certified by the National Institute of Quality of Roszdravnadzor, the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region said.
