The mayor also stated that the constant repair of infrastructure for ground-based electric vehicles makes it possible to reduce the number of downtime and traffic accidents. More than 700,000 passengers are transported by land transport every day.
The head of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Metroelectrotrans, Aidar Abdulkhakov, cited data that trams derailed 13% less frequently last year than a year earlier. In addition, the number of downtime caused by the ground transportation service has decreased by almost 70%.
