Since the beginning of this year, 250 people over the age of 60 have applied to the employment centers in the region. Half of them have already been employed. In 2024, more than 2,400 Krasnoyarsk citizens from this age group found work.
The list of popular professions also includes security guards, accountants, tractor drivers, engineers, locksmiths, electricians, mechanics, cooks and document specialists.
According to employers, the employed specialists not only have important knowledge and experience, but also often act as mentors for young employees. For example, one of the companies in the space industry hired 47 people over the age of 60 last year.

By order of the governor of the region, a new project "Siberian Active Longevity" is operating in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It includes activities related to improving the competitiveness of older people in the labor market. According to the program, the employment service offers courses for its clients, organizes job fairs, trainings and consultations of specialists, the press service of the Krasnoyarsk regional government reports.
